Advanced Technology

When you seek care at our office, you can be assured that Peace Valley Dental  utilize’s the latest in technology to enhance the quality and fit of your dental care.

Precision Dentistry

Dentistry is micro-surgery. Our practice uses high power magnification to enhance our patient care by creating dental restorations with a more precise fit and finish than can often be done with the naked eye.

Many dentists use air-driven “hand-pieces” (the dental term for “drills”).  While acceptable for many procedures, we have opted to use ‘electric hand-pieces’ as they operate with less noise and vibrations allowing for a much more precise preparation and interface between your tooth and the new restoration (crown, veneer, or filling).

Digital X-rays

At Peace Valley Dental, we take every precaution to reduce and minimize our patients exposure to radiation. We utilize digital technology and in doing so, have greatly decreased the amount of radiation our patients are exposed to.

X-rays allow us to see things we aren’t able to with the naked eye, such as cavities below the gumline, in between teeth as well as assessing the health and level of bone surrounding the teeth. We use radiographs to examine the roots and base of the teeth with regards to abscesses and trauma to the teeth and in some cases are able to diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors.

As all our images are digital, we are able to access them throughout our clinic and are able to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists, insurance companies, or other dental offices as needed.

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry is one of dentistry’s latest advances. The laser delivers energy in the form of light. Depending on the intended result, this energy travels at different wavelengths and with some procedures, often eliminates the need for suturing leading to a much faster healing time.

Areas of dental care that benefit from soft tissue laser technology:

  • Periodontal, or gum related, care
  • Apthous Ulcer treatment (canker sore)
  • Frenectomy (tongue-tie release) without anesthesia or sutures
  • Root canals and apicoectomies
  • Crown lengthening, gingivectomy and other gum corrections

Dental lasers have been shown to be safe and effective for treating both children and adults.
