DMD
Dr. Ho provides high-quality, patient-centred dental care through clear communication, education, and thoughtful treatment planning. He moved to Canada from Hong Kong at the age of five and later completed a Biochemistry Honours degree before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Ho believes that excellent dentistry begins with communication. He listens to his patients, explains treatment options clearly, and ensures they feel informed and comfortable before proceeding. His goal is to help patients achieve and maintain long-term oral health while leaving the clinic confident in both their care and their smile. In addition to comprehensive general dentistry, Dr. Ho is a Gold Invisalign Provider and offers orthodontic treatment. He has completed additional training in neuromodulators (Botox Levels 1 and 2) for facial esthetics and TMJ therapy and regularly pursues continuing education to stay current with modern techniques and evolving dental technology. Dr. Ho takes pride in serving the Peace River community and working alongside a supportive, dedicated team that shares his commitment to exceptional patient experiences. Outside the operatory, he is an avid Edmonton Oilers fan and enjoys sharing his passion for hockey with both patients and staff.

Dr. Thomas has over 30 years of experience practicing dentistry and brings a broad, comprehensive approach to patient care. A general dentist with a strong passion for all aspects of dentistry, he provides a wide range of procedures including dental implants, wisdom tooth extractions—from routine to complex—and other surgical treatments. His ability to deliver advanced care often reduces the need for referrals, allowing patients to receive treatment comfortably and efficiently in one setting. Dr. Thomas is certified in oral conscious sedation, helping patients who experience anxiety feel more relaxed during dental procedures. He takes pride in delivering exceptional treatment in a calm, caring manner, always prioritizing patient comfort and safety. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Thomas has an extensive academic background. He served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta Hospital from 1997 to 2010 and has held associate professor roles within the University of Alberta Dentistry Program. He currently continues his involvement in dental education as an associate professor and CCD director. Dr. Thomas serves patients in multiple Alberta communities and enjoys photography, music, and spending time with his four children. He is a proud member of the Alberta Dental Association & College and the Canadian Dental Association.

Dr. Yadav provides gentle, comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, with a strong focus on comfort, clear communication, and patient education. She strives to create a calm, welcoming environment where patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their treatment decisions. Dr. Yadav has completed additional training in oral and nitrous oxide sedation, Botox therapy for clenching, grinding, and upper-face treatments, and advanced tooth-coloured restorative techniques through certified continuing education programs. Her dental career includes three years of practice in India, followed by two years in the United Arab Emirates, before completing three years of advanced dental education in Canada and graduating in 2025. She values working alongside the supportive, collaborative team at Peace Valley Dental and enjoys building lasting relationships within the Peace River community. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Yadav enjoys spending time with her husband and their young son, exploring new brunch spots, playing board games, and keeping active with their energetic cockapoo. She also loves karaoke and is always happy to sing along.

Dr. Harmanpreet Kaur
DDS, PhD
Dr. Kaur focuses on evidence-based care, accurate diagnosis, and long-term oral health. She diagnoses and manages conditions affecting the teeth, gums, and jaws using current clinical research, while ensuring patients feel informed and comfortable at every step of their treatment. Her approach emphasizes prevention, transparency, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Dr. Kaur earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta School of Dentistry in 2025. Prior to moving to Canada, she completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in India in 2008 and practiced dentistry there before continuing her professional journey in Alberta. She has completed additional training in neuromodulators (Botox Levels 1 and 2 for facial esthetics and TMJ), nitrous oxide and oral sedation, and laser dentistry. Dr. Kaur values strong teamwork, open communication, and building long-term relationships with patients in the community. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and long walks in nature, and loves experimenting with new recipes and discovering local coffee shops.

Noel
RDH, Office Manager
Noel began his dental career after completing his Dental Hygiene training in Toronto in 2006, moving to Peace River shortly afterward to join Peace Valley Dental. He is especially attuned to patients with dental anxiety, focusing on gentle care, clear explanations, and helping people feel confident in caring for their oral health between visits. He has completed advanced training through the University of Alberta in local anesthetic, nitrous oxide (conscious sedation), and Atraumatic Restorative Therapy. While Noel started his career practicing hygiene full time, his time is now split between seeing patients and supporting the clinic’s daily operations and ongoing maintenance. Noel enjoys the outdoor lifestyle the Peace River region offers, especially fishing and boating with his sons. He and his wife love to travel and are always planning their next adventure together with their two teenage boys—whether it’s a swim meet, dirt biking in the hills, or exploring a new destination as a family.

Melanie
RDH
Melanie is a Registered Dental Hygienist and travel enthusiast who has been caring for smiles since 1998. With a background as a Certified Dental Assistant and Pharmacy Technician, she has completed additional training in neuromodulators/Botox, local anesthetic, nitrous oxide, and atraumatic restorative therapy through the University of Alberta. Melanie enjoys helping patients achieve bright, healthy smiles and sharing the knowledge they need to maintain their oral health between visits. Since moving to Peace River in 2007, she’s come to value the loyal, down-to-earth patients and strong sense of community at Peace Valley Dental. She works alongside her husband and enjoys life with their two teenage boys. When she’s not in the clinic, Melanie is usually planning the next adventure—travel is a big part of her life, and she loves creating meaningful memories exploring the world with her family.

Laberta

Laberta has proudly supported patients in Peace River with their dental care since 1994. As Client Services Coordinator and Insurance Specialist, she helps patients with appointment scheduling, navigating dental insurance plans, and understanding their coverage to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience. Compassion, efficiency, and building trust are at the core of how Laberta supports patients every day. Laberta values being part of the Peace Valley Dental family and describes the team as caring, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive. She enjoys working alongside her colleagues who provide exceptional care and a welcoming environment for patients. Outside of the office, Laberta has a passion for teaching Zumba, which she has been doing since 2015. She also enjoys camping, boating, gardening, and spending time with her family around a roaring fire.

Mona has been working in the dental field since 2003 and plays an important role in supporting both patients and the clinical team. As a Client Services Coordinator, she manages appointment scheduling, insurance billing, pre-authorizations, referrals, and other administrative responsibilities that help ensure each patient’s visit runs smoothly. Mona enjoys working as part of a collaborative dental team and is committed to helping provide a positive, welcoming experience for every patient. She values the supportive environment at Peace Valley Dental and appreciates working with a group that truly feels like family. Outside of the office, Mona enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, reading, and glamping. She appreciates finding balance between her work and personal life and enjoys making the most of her time both at home and away.

Jennifer
RDH
Jennifer has been caring for patients since 1997. She completed her dental hygiene education at the University of Alberta and has spent more than two decades helping patients maintain healthy smiles through preventive care and education. Jennifer focuses on thorough, gentle hygiene treatment and enjoys supporting patients in maintaining their oral health over the long term. In addition to her clinical experience, Jennifer has completed her local anesthetic certification and prescribing module through the University of Alberta, allowing her to provide comfortable, comprehensive hygiene care. She has been part of Peace Valley Dental for over 21 years and values the strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie that make the office such a positive place to work. Outside of the clinic, Jennifer enjoys crocheting, woodworking, and spending time at the cabin with her husband and their dogs. She appreciates the balance between her work, hobbies, and time spent outdoors.

Raquel
RDH
Raquel is a Registered Dental Hygienist with 20 years of experience providing preventive, patient focused care. She offers a full range of hygiene services, and her goal of providing a comfortable, stress-free experience for her patients led her to attain her local anesthetic certification through the University of Alberta. She stays current with dental hygiene best practices through yearly continuing education and is always looking for ways to enhance the quality of care she provides. Raquel is known for her gentle, caring approach and for tailoring treatment to each patient’s individual needs. She values the strong teamwork at Peace Valley Dental and enjoys being part of a clinic that offers a wide variety of services in a supportive, collaborative environment. Outside of work, Raquel enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog, as well as relaxing with reading and creative projects during the winter and camping and boating in the summer.

Amanda
RDA
Amanda began her dental career in 2005 and developed a passion for dental implants and surgical dentistry. She completed her Dental Assisting certification at NAIT in 2007. Amanda later completed her orthodontics module and discovered that one of her greatest strengths is educating patients about their dental care and treatment options. Amanda moved to Peace River in 2012 with her growing family and joined Peace Valley Dental in 2018. She values the clinic’s commitment to continued education and completed additional training in TMJ intraoral massage in 2021. Amanda appreciates the strong sense of teamwork, support, and community that defines the practice. Outside of the clinic, Amanda enjoys a busy family life. She and her husband grain farm, and she loves gardening, music, and spending time with their three boys. Family time often includes swimming, skiing, and making music together while enjoying the Peace River lifestyle.

Emily
RDA
Emily has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2018. She completed her orthodontic certification through the University of Alberta, allowing her to support the flow of Invisalign and traditional orthodontic patients cared for by Dr. Ho. Emily also works closely with the dentists to support many other aspects of daily patient treatment, including CEREC crown design & fabrication, and Botox procedures. In addition to her clinical role, Emily works as a Client Services Coordinator, where she helps manage scheduling and patient communication, ensuring a welcoming and well-organized experience from start to finish. She values patient comfort, clear communication, and the strong sense of teamwork at Peace Valley Dental. Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband—whom she has been with since she was 14—as well as her expanding family and circle of friends.

Kyla
RDA
Kyla is a highly experienced Registered Dental Assistant who has been working in dentistry since 2006. She brings advanced training in orthodontics, Botox, and CEREC crown fabrication. Kyla works closely with the dentist to support a wide range of treatments and is known for her clear communication and thorough explanations, helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their care. Kyla joined Peace Valley Dental in 2020 and values the strong team spirit, ongoing education opportunities, and positive, supportive work environment. She enjoys being part of a clinic that embraces advancing technology and collaborative care. Outside of work, Kyla enjoys golfing, curling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She lives in Grimshaw with her husband, two sons, and their pets, and can often be found cheering on the Oilers, supporting her boys at the rink, or exploring local breweries.

April
RDA
April has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2007 and brings a calm, caring presence to every patient visit. In addition to assisting the dentist during procedures, she has expanded her scope of practice through additional training in orthodontics, nitrous oxide inhalation sedation, and Botox through the University of Alberta. These skills allow her to support a wide range of treatments. Patient comfort and gentle care are especially important to April, and she takes pride in helping patients feel at ease throughout their visits. She enjoys working alongside a close-knit team and values the positive, family-like atmosphere at Peace Valley Dental. Outside of work, April enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She loves camping in the summer, cheering on hockey in the winter, and relaxing at one of her favourite local spots, Peace River Brewing.

Andrea
RDA
Andrea has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1993 and brings decades of experience, skill, and warmth to every patient interaction. Andrea has a wide range of clinical skills that compliment her roll in assisting the dentist, including a certification in orthodontics and expanded skills in full mouth restorations. Andrea strives to make every patient as comfortable as possible and loves when someone leaves saying it was “the best dental appointment ever.” Andrea values the strong sense of teamwork at Peace Valley Dental and often describes the staff as her second family. Outside of work, Andrea loves spending time with family, friends, and her pets. She enjoys camping, boating, hiking, travelling, and exploring creative hobbies such as gardening, photography, and crochet. A positive childhood experience at the dentist when she was 6 helped set the course for her dental assisting career.

Candace
RDA
Candace has been part of the dental profession since 1988 and brings decades of experience and dedication to her role as a Registered Dental Assistant. She completed her dental assisting training at NAIT and has additional orthodontic education through the University of Alberta. Candace assists the dentist in providing high-quality care and helps ensure each patient’s visit is comfortable and efficient. Gentle care, clear communication, and understanding dental anxiety are especially important to Candace. She values the supportive environment at Peace Valley Dental and enjoys working alongside a team she describes as amazing. Candace has lived in Peace River since 1982 and appreciates the strong sense of community the area offers. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping and spending time in the community she has proudly called home for many years.

Erin
RDA
Erin is a Registered Dental Assistant with over 10 years of experience supporting patients and the dental team. She works closely with the dentist to facilitate all manners of treatment and ensures each appointment runs smoothly and comfortably. Erin’s background in business administration and dental administration allows her to support both patient care and the organizational side of the practice. Clear communication and building trust are central to Erin’s approach, particularly for patients who experience dental anxiety. She values creating a calm, welcoming environment and helping patients feel informed and at ease throughout their visit. Erin enjoys being part of the supportive team at Peace Valley Dental, where collaboration and shared commitment to patient comfort are part of everyday practice. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, curling, pickleball, and camping, and spending time with friends and family.

Jana
RDA
Jana is a Registered Dental Assistant with well over 20 years of experience supporting both patients and the dental team. She works closely with the dentist to assist in all aspects of treatment. Jana has completed additional training in prosthodontics through the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and brings a steady, knowledgeable presence to every appointment. Patient comfort is a priority for Jana, and she is especially mindful of helping patients feel at ease and understood before, during, and after their visits. Jana values the strong teamwork at Peace Valley Dental and appreciates how everyone works together to provide consistent, high-quality care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, her grandkids, and their dogs. She also looks forward to weekly coffee meetups with her friends—a small tradition she truly enjoys.

Khrystyne
RDA
Khrystyne has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2017. Khrystyne has completed additional training through the University of Alberta and has obtained her certification in orthodontics, allowing her to assist the dentists with a broader range of dental treatments. Patient comfort and clear communication are central to Khrystyne’s approach. She strives to create a calm, reassuring environment where patients feel at ease and confident in their care. Outside of work, Khrystyne enjoys life on her hobby farm with her husband and their two young children, surrounded by horses, chickens, ducks, goats, and plenty of dogs and cats. When she’s not at the clinic, she loves barrel racing, trail riding through the countryside, and taking her dogs out for nature walks. She is also working toward becoming a CKC-registered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder.
